Taylor is the oldest daughter of Pam and Dave. She earned her degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. Once Taylor became a funeral director, she began studying the literature on grief on almost all funeral websites, including our own. She thought that there had to be a better way to process grief. Then the Grief Recovery Method entered her life after the loss of her grandparents, Paul and Helen Cogan. She bought the book and was instantly intrigued because of how simple the premise was. The basis of the program is that our hearts are broken and not our heads. She decided to become a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, and she was exposed to a new idea of what grief is. "Grief is the normal and natural emotional reaction to loss or change of any kind. Of itself, grief is neither a pathological condition nor a personality disorder." - The Grief Recovery Method®. Grieving is a very individual process and is unique to everyone. Taylor talks about how this program has helped her unpack events that have caused her grief that she has not even thought about in years.

But, The Grief Recovery Method® has also allowed her to provide others with a roadmap of their own, as well as travel by their side and help them to find new tools for real grief recovery.  She is very excited to expand the Grief Recovery Method® to our community.

The programs that she offers not only deal with the death of a family member but also are groups on pet loss and groups for parents with children who are experiencing grief.

"I truly believe this method has helped me on becoming the best funeral director I can be."-Taylor
