Rhys' Obituary

U.S. Veteran

Timothy Rhys Wiegert, age 33, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on April 17, 2020. He was born in Waukegan, IL but was a Michigander first and foremost. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kim; his three children Aiden (10), Riley (8), and Hailey (5); his parents Tim and Chris Wiegert; his sister Stephanie Wiegert; his mother and father-in-law Bob and Leslie Thomka; his sister-in-law Katie Thomka and brothers-in-law Matt and Nick Thomka. Rhys’ was preceded in death by his sister Tricia, who is now with him in heaven.

Rhys loved his family tremendously, and longed for nothing more but than to support them. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, one-liners, and for his charismatic personality. He was a talented golfer, who competed professionally in World Long Drive competitions and worked as a pro golfer for charity events. He was also proud to have served his country in the Army. Rhys was creative and used this creativity to develop several business ideas that he was diligently working on bringing to fruition. Most importantly, he loved his wife and children more than anything in this world, and he will be missed as both a husband and father. Rhys trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his family is thankful that they will all be together again one day.
