Thomas Emile Brown, 79, of Hempstead, Texas, passed away May 22, 2019. He was born September 3, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Robert Brown, his son Danny J. Brown. His two brothers and his sister are also deceased. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of 62 years, his son, Thomas (Rusty) and wife, Gail, his daughter-in-law, Sherry Myers and husband, Mike, 6 grandchildren: Falon & husband, Josh, Danielle, Derick, Melissa, Maggie & husband, Trey, and Delaney. He has 10 great grandchildren, who loved to play with their PawPaw.
He loved his family deeply and was always there for them. He was kind and generous to all he knew and cared about and supported his country and his community in many ways; as an election judge, with Meals on Wheels, annual charity golf tournaments, local quilt shows, and many other charitable events. He was instrumental in stopping the landfill from coming to Hempstead.
He owned his own company, TebCo Services, and ran his business more like a family, and business thrived. TebCo managed water districts in Harris and nearby counties. Until his retirement he was an active member of the Association of Water Board Directors. He was proud to be a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and becoming a member of the 4th degree.
His love was spread throughout the communities he spent his life in, and he will be missed and faithfully remembered throughout.
Visitation will be Monday, May 27, 2019 from 4-7pm at Canon Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10am at St Katharine Drexel Catholic Church with Father David Harris officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
