Talcie Faye Ellison, age 74, of Columbus, KS passed away at her home after an illness.
Faye was born in Washington DC to Louise Edna Mallory, September 24, 1944. She had lived in the Columbus area since 1989, and worked at the Apple Market as the produce manager, retiring in 2007. She was a member of Center Christian Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, watching sports, and was an avid Columbus Titans fan. Faye lived for her family, who affectionately called her “Granny Faye.”
Surviving are her three children: Jay Saiz of Columbus, KS; Angel Clarkson (husband Jeff) of Montgomery, AL; and Tanya Crain (husband Jerry) of Columbus, KS; One brother: Kenneth Hartman of Phoenix, AZ; one sister Esther Austin of San Antonio, TX; six grandchildren: Jacob Saiz, Samantha Kiser, Zachary Crain, Matthew Crain, Kaden Crain, and Dane Pace; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Hartman Sr., her mother Louise Egich; and three brothers: James Harman, Leonard Hartman Jr., and Tommy Hartman.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, with the funeral directly following at 11:00 AM; and services will be held at the chapel at Derfelt Funeral Home. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center Christian Church, in Faye’s memory.
