February 19, 1958 - May 21, 2020
Steven Anthony “Steve” Blanc, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2020. He was born in Jacksonville on February 19, 1958 and lived there his entire life.
In 1977 at age 19, Steve started working at Flowers Baking Company, where he served for 40 years at a job he loved and for which he was very respected. He had a passion for electronics, and everyone knew he was the man to visit if you needed a computer or laptop fixed. In addition to being an electronics whiz, Steve was the life of the party! He adored karaoke (even though he was a terrible singer) and was a die-hard FSU fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen & Nicky Nicolasora, and his brother, Joe “Bubba” Blanc, Jr. In 1978, Steve met the love of his life, Kimberley, at Ed White High School, and they were married for 39 years. Together they had three children, of which Steve was extremely proud: Stephanie, Daniel, and Sarah Blanc. He is also survived by his father, Joe Blanc, Sr. “Grandpa Joe”; 2 sisters: Cynthia (Gerald) Pate and Marta Blanc; 2 brothers: Michael Blanc and Kenny Blanc; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Peeples Event Center, 14165 N. Main Street.
The family thanks Ortega Gardens Care Center for their care of Steve for the last 2 years.
