BOND, Mr. Sharron- age 66, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Fostrian Manor. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, June 6, 2019 with a 10:00am family hour at Refuge Temple Church 4400 W. Carpenter Rd., Flint, MI 48504. Evangelist Barbara Bond-Gentry officiating. Host Pastor Matthew Jackson. Calling hours are 1:00pm - 7:00pm Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. The final resting place for Mr. Bond will be Sunset Hills Association.
Mr. Sharron Lavell Bond was born November 14, 1952 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Homer and Barbara (Leake) Bond. He was a longtime resident of Flint and attended Flint Community Schools. Later, Mr. Bond went on to further his education at U of M. Mr. Bond was a member of Church Without Walls where he served as a deacon. His hobbies included bowling, playing pool, cards, and dominoes. He also enjoyed singing and doing puzzles.
Mr. Sharron Lavell Bond leaves to cherish his memory: 5 children, Latresa (Rodney) Wilson of Flint, MI, Barbara (Mac) Gentry of Atlanta, GA, Sylvia Kirkland of Detroit, MI, Xavier Milhouse of Beecher, MI, Molifenge (Roosevelt) Walker of Chicago, IL; 20 grandchildren, Nikisha (Virginia), Shinika, Kinisha, Deondris, Justin, Ellana, James, Kylan, Robert, JaQuarius, Brielle, Denzel, MaCarian, Dajah, Jadah, Jerome II, Takelia (Michael), Tra'Chaya, Xavier Jr., Nyla and Roosevelt III; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Homer Bond, Jr. of Flint, MI, Jr.; 2 sisters, Brenda (Maurice) Mahan of Flint, MI, Charlotte Pitts of Ypsilanti, MI; 4 nephews, Homer III, Cedrick, Ray (Leola), Lorenzo; 5 nieces, Tajie (Clyde), Shaquita (Alex), Twila (Michael), Kortni (Antoine), Kameron; 1 aunt, Willette Daniels of Detroit, MI; special cousin, Wanda Wright; God-mother, Shirley Burns, a host of other relatives and friends including companion, Donna Burns; special friends, Alfred, Vernon, Wallace, Dale and Lois; mothers of his children, Sheri Sykes and Barbara Bond.
Mr. Sharron Bond was preceded in death by: parents, Homer and Barbara (Leake) Bond; sons, Sharron Jr. and Clinton; aunt, Earnestine Felton; grandson, Mac (Judah) Gentry III; nephews, Leland and Kori.
