ROGERS, Mr. Ronald-age 64, of Flint, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Detroit, MI. Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Saturday, June 8, 2019 with an 11:00am family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Pastor Andre L. Williams, Sr. officiating.
Mr. Ronald Harvey Rogers was born January 10, 1955 in Flint, MI, the son of William Rogers and Stella Bell. Ronald was a member of African Methodist Episcopal Church in Detroit, MI where he received a certificate of baptism in 2015. Ronald graduated from CS Mott Adult High School in Flint, MI in June 1983. He attended Jackson Community College in 1984 and Muskegon Community College in 1986. He received a safe serve certificate and trained in food safety and temperature control cross contamination. He also attended Michigan State University and received a certificate of hazard analysis and critical points. After Michigan State University, he went to the Institute of Agricultural Technology and trained in food production, processing and distribution.
Mr. Ronald Rogers leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Jackie Rogers; mother of children, Janet Stennis; children, Latrice, Cherron, Alectris and Demetrius Wright all of Flint and Crystal Stennis of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Canei, Tetrell, Sharonda and Cherron Wright, Devaneze Harris, Alisha Duke, Charron and Jannacy Williams, Davia Knox, India, Leroy, De'Angelo and Lea Asia Hill; brother, Kenney Rogers, Wanell Rogers, Eddie Rogers, Michael Bell and Thomas Bell; sister, Kim Bell; mother-in-law, Ella Hinton; brother-in-law, Roderick Hinton; niece, Jessica Hinton; nephew, Alexander Hinton; a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins and friends including special niece, Janell Cartwright and special, oldest and dearest friend, Shirletta Perkins.
Ronald was preceded in death by: mother, Stella Bell; father, William Rogers; sister, Tonya Bell; brothers, William Rogers and Kevin Rogers; grandparents, Eddie and Elsie Rogers.
