Robert James "Bob" Taylor, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 24, 2020 following a 6 month battle with liver cancer. Bob began his career with Bell South, now A T & T and retired with 46 years on February 1, 2020. In 1993, Bob was presented the Bronze Vail Award for his actions in saving a customer's life.

Bob was instrumental in preserving the Jetties and worked tirelessly to protect surfing. He loved turtles and was up early every morning for years, looking for sea turtle nests. Many might not know Bob was involved in local politics, was a member of CPAC and ran for City Council and Union President and his goal was to make a difference.
