Robert “Bob” Dean Morgan, 91, of Madison, MO passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

Bob was born on June 8, 1927 in Madison, MO the son of Roy Lee and Gertrude Irene Cruzan Morgan. He married Wilma Carey on April 12, 1947 in Mexico, MO and she preceded him in death on April 28, 2003. Bob is survived by one son; Wayne (Linda) Morgan; three daughters; Connie (David) Williams, Donna (Jerry) Arends, Brenda (Lee) Bergthold; 12 grandchildren; Jennifer (Joe) Mossie, Brent Morgan, Rient Bounds, Liza Williams, Quentin (Suzy) Forrest

Nicole (Brandon) Duncan, Ashley (Jeremy) Sutton, Kelly (Santana) Arends, Cody (Andrea) Arends, Jesse Harris (Josh Day) Jamie (Jeramie) McCallum, Jenna Bergthold; thirty one great-grandchildren; Sophia and Morgan Holohan, Trenton, Emma, Jett, Bo Morgan, Robert Bounds and Dede Ragsdale, Britany and Brandon Williams, Tylor Bounds, Aiden and Ben Forrest, Lundyn and Gatlin Duncan, Reese, Paige, Kamryn, Kenzie Sutton, Henry, Graham, Fletcher Arends, Will and Evelyn Arends, Harley, Macey and Lane Harris, Meredith McCallum, Blake Turner, Lana Blue, and Audrey Dunlap; three great-great-grandchildren; Hayden Joe McCall, Leo and Cooper Bounds; one brother; Dale Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one grandson, Rob Bounds; one brother Charles Morgan; one sister; Virginia Westlake and an infant sister.

Bob served in the US Navy where he received the victory medal and the Asiatic Pacific. He most enjoyed living on the family farm where he raised crops and livestock cattle and hogs. Bob loved watching sports on T.V., but also going to watch his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all their sports activities at school as well. He was also an avid reader mostly about history. His love for his family was the most important. Bob was a member of NFO, Missouri Cattleman’s Association, Missouri Corn Growers Association, Missouri Soybean Association, School board For Sanford and Monroe County, National Block & Bridle Club and the MT. Airy Baptist Church, an avid supporter of the Monroe County 4-H, and FFA.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Agnew Funeral Home in Paris with Reverend Dan Campbell officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until time of service on Tuesday at the Agnew Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Walnut Grove Cemetery Mausoleum fund.
