Patty Bryan, 75 of Springfield, MO formerly of Paris, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at her home in Springfield.
She was born on June 2, 1944 in Monroe County, the daughter of Alva F. and Rose Mildred Clem Mealy. Patty is survived by her significant other, Allen Penn; three sons, Donald G Bryan, Jr. and his wife Sheri, of Clark, Andrew Bryan and his wife Jen, of Palmyra and Jody Bryan and Ashley King of Colfax, Iowa; one sister, Penny Clem Anderson of Aliso Viejo, CA; one daughter-in-law, Rachel Bryan; seven grandchildren and her former husband, Donald Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Corey Bryan.
Patty worked for the University of Missouri, Columbia, from 2001 to 2011 in the chemistry department and in Student Life. She was, also, a crew member of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in Springfield, MO.
Patty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris, where she played the piano and organ for 57 years.
She was a master quilter, having entered competitions with her quilts and won ribbons.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paris Public Library or Monroe County Cancer Supporters.
