BANKS, Mrs. Patsy Ruth-age 58, of Flint, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, June 26, 2019 with a 10:00am family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Rev. Bill Christensen officiating. Chaplain Cindi Novak presider. Calling hours are 1:00pm-7:00pm Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.
Ms. Patsy Ruth Banks was born October 11, 1960 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Hellen Ruth Carroll and Albert Carroll, Jr. She was born and raised in Flint. Patsy attended Flint Community Schools and was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. She had numerous hobbies some of which included, social media, playing cards and games on her phone. Patsy worked at a bar and grill and she also volunteered her time helping people. She was baptized at Trinity. Patsy was a loving grandmother, sister, aunt and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Ms. Patsy Ruth Banks leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Sparkle Banks and companion Kelvin Beard both of Flint, MI; 2 grandchildren, Kalayah Banks and Cora Beard; 3 step-grandchildren, Xavier Beard, Nevaeh Beard and MyAngel Beard; 3 brothers, Charles Earl (Shirley) Carroll, Lewis Edward Carroll of Flint, MI, Melvin Lee (Juanita) Carroll of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Gloria Dean Carroll of Burton, MI; grandfather, Albert Carroll, Sr. of Smackover, AR; grandmother, Sally McAdoo Carroll; 7 nephews, Javis (Tonya) Carroll, Charles Daniels, DeJuan (Alfreda) Carroll, Grady Chaney, Jr., Mario, Deonta Williams, Larry Nettlees; 9 nieces, Sheresa Carroll, Shemaine (Curtis) Lee, Sheretta Carroll, Sherquanda Carroll, Iesha Carroll, Hellen (Donald) Lacy, Tara Carroll, Quinta Edderington, Quineasha Edderington; great-uncle, Fred Macadoo; numerous cousins; companion, Charles Barbee; a host of other relatives and special friends including, Gene Emma Booker, Joyce Miles, Lilton Robinson, Church family, Odyssey House friends, and special cousins, Essie Rankin and Gertha Cachran.
Ms. Patsy Ruth Banks was preceded in death by: mother, Hellen Carroll; father, Albert Carroll, Jr.; bother, Lawrence Edward Carroll; several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
