Johnston City–Kay Krug, 99, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 12:10 A.M. in the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday September 18, 2020 in St. Pauls’ Catholic Church in Johnston City with Fr. Brian Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with graveside military rites conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and Illinois Army National Guard. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a breast cancer facility of the donor’s choice.
She was born on June 21, 1921 in Johnston City the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Jakovac) Radosevich. She married Albert Krug who preceded her in death in 1970.
She proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and in the Navy Reserve during the Korean Conflict. She worked as a secretary for the railroad.
She is survived by 3 nieces, Betty Kainz of Johnston City, Elizabeth Guth of Eagle, Idaho, and Gayle Morano of Kenosha, WI; a nephew John Jusits of Poplar Grove; and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters Elizabeth Kainz and Melba Jusits.
