Jimmy Ball, 81, of Paris passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at this home in Paris, MO.
Jimmy was born on October 31, 1937, in Paris, MO, the son of Tommy and Velma I. Miller Ball. After high school he served in the U.S. Navy. He married Karen Heathman in Paris in November of 1959 and she preceded him in death in January of 1968. He worked for Wade’s IGA, Save-A-Lot in Monroe City for over 25 years. He also cut meat for Tune’s Locker in Centralia, ran his own concrete business for several years. He also worked for the city of Paris.
He is survived by two children; Scott (Ann) Ball of Paris, MO and Chris (Nick) Alcorn of Monroe City, MO; six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and two brother-in-law’s, Harold Wilson and Bob Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Velma, his wife, Karen; a daughter, Sherry; one brother David Ball and a sister Jean Wilson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday at the Agnew Funeral Home with Pastor David Troyer officiating. Visitation will be from 12 until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery.
