On May 7, 2019 Helen Marie Seymour was welcomed in her heavenly home at the golden age of 93. She resided at the Carriage Inn in Katy, Tx. She was born October 27, 1925 to Fred and Willie Hafer.

Helen grew up in Fieldstore Community attending Waller schools. She is reunited in heaven with her parents Fred and Willie Hafer; brothers Clifton, George, Howard, and Frank Hafer; sisters Bertha Thomas and Hazel Kelley. Also, Great Great Granddaughter Angel Baby Madelyn Woodard. She is also preceded in death by her sons by marriage Keith Seymour and Dana Valmain


Left to cherish her memory is her husband Walter T Seymour. (Who would have celebrated 50 years on August 3, 2019); her sons Marshall (wife Florence)  and James (wife Geri) Peterson; daughter Debra (husband Roy) Wawarofsky; sons in marriage Gary (wife Carol), Terry,  Richard (Julie) Valmain. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.


Helen raised her children at Friendship Baptist Church instilling the value of having God in your life. With Sunday school and vacation bible school a priority!


Her life loves included sewing, watching football and crocheting.
She was a Charter member of Waller Chapter 1047 Order of Eastern Star for 65 years. And she was a graduate of Houston School of Business.


God gave us a beautiful woman to share in this world. We are thankful for the nurses and staff that help at Carriage Inn. Their support and love for our family will always be in our heart.  And Earline Bates, the time you shared with her is priceless. I know you feel the hurt and pain with us. Thank you for all you did.

Pallbearers will be Zack Woodard, Darren Woodard, Todd Keeling, Blaine Keeling, Greg Valmain, and Shane Seymour

Honorary pallbearers will be Tristan Seymour, Ethan Palmer, Michael Spurrier, Robert Woodard, and Rodney Stanley.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday May 11, 2019 at 2pm at Canon Funeral Home with Chaplin Stan Palmer officiating. Burial will follow at Fieldstore Cemetery with weather permitting.
