Frances “Geneva” Hickey, 77, of Horseshoe Bay passed away July 28, 2020. She was born to W.T. and Fannie Dosier (Young) Crawford on May 11, 1943 in San Saba, Texas.
Geneva attended Denver City High School in Denver City, TX. After graduating from high school, she attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in English. She taught a few years of High School English in Olney, TX where she met the love of her life, David Max Hickey. They were married in Denver City, TX in 1965. They later moved to Fort Worth where they raised their two children. Geneva’s hobbies included a love for reading, cooking and she especially loved playing the piano.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly Kutin and husband Dustin of Meadowlakes, Texas, Jason Hickey and wife Michelle, of Buda, Texas. Granddaughter Kayla Jimenez & husband Hector, of Leander, TX, one great-granddaughter Mila Jimenez, Grandson Zachary Hickey, Granddaughter Jade Hickey, Granddaughter Karis Hickey and Grandson Aidan Hickey.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years David Max Hickey.
A private graveside service was held at the San Saba Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. An online guest register may be signed at www.PutnamCares.com.
