Edward Mac Toalson, 88 of Stoutsville, was joined with his Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 14, 2020. His beloved wife and son were at his side at his home in Stoutsville.
He was born July 26, 1931 in Ashland, to Owen Alva and Jewell Browning Toalson. Edward graduated from Ashland schools. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged. After his military service he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri. Edward worked and retired from the Defense Mapping Agency Aerospace Center in St. Louis, and was a member of Craftsman Masonic Lodge 717, and the First Baptist Church of Lemay.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hargita Stephens Toalson; children, Owen (Michelle) Toalson and Margaret (Eric) Forman and grandchildren; Harrison, Henry, Emeline and Audrey.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Ashland, with Pastor Brian Credille officiating.
