Corene Graupman, 97, of Perry, MO passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at SSM in Mexico, MO.
Corene was born on April 27, 1922 in Stoutsville, MO, the daughter of Clarence and Victoria Casey Littrell. She married Harold Graupman on December 16, 1942 in Palmyra, MO and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2017. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Hanna of Paris, MO; two sons, David (Cherie) Graupman of Perry and Robert (Rhonda) Graupman of Mexico; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren. Corene was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie Graupman and J.C. Graupman; one grandson, Jeff Graupman, and one son-in-law, Ernie Hanna.
Corene and Harold farmed all of their lives in Monroe County. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and loved to work crossword puzzles. Corene mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, where they listened to Harold tell many stories of long ago or as they would call it “back in the day.” She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at South Fork Presbyterian Church with Reverend Wesley Hammond officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Fork Presbyterian Church.
