Charles Keith Brown, Jr. was born October 22, 1948 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Charles Keith Brown and Vera Ellen (Seichepine) Brown. He leaves behind his wife, LaNell (Hays) Brown of 46 years, one son, Carl Brown and wife Mandy of Greenville, a daughter Christine Dickens and husband Jeremy Dickens of Celeste, two granddaughters, Peyton Dickens and Sydnee Dickens of Celeste, 3 sisters Carol Taylor of Tonganoxie, Kansas and Connie and Cathy Brown of Garfield, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Charles was always a quiet man. He was very easy going and rarely had an unkind word for anyone. If he disagreed with someone, he would simply check the facts to prove he correct for his own piece of mind. He was a simple man with simple pleasures. He enjoyed building and restoring aircraft of all types. He was also a pilot and aircraft mechanic. His latest project was updating his home to make it more readily usable for his wife LaNell. Those who knew him knew he always had a comeback when things needed to be lightened up in a tense situation. His favorite saying was ”With a name like Charlie Brown, you either live with it or die by it.” It seems he managed to do both. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. In Lieu of Flowers please make a donation to Alzheimer Association www.alz.org.
