Hannah Caitlin Bailey of Lake Wales tragically and unexpectedly passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 in Lake Wales.
Hannah was born on May 8, 1995 to Marcy Rice and moved to Florida from Chesapeake Beach, Maryland in 2012. Hannah’s first love as a child was cheerleading and tumbling. She began cheering when she was 5-years-old and excelled in the sport throughout high school. She did sideline cheering for all of her youth with the Beach Buccaneers and was on varsity high school teams at Huntingtown High (MD) and Central and Lake Wales High schools (FL). She was a loved cheer family member with two competitive organizations, Calvert All Stars and Maryland Twisters. She is a graduate of Lake Wales High School. She touched many hearts and was loved by many families and children that she cared for. She enjoyed being adventurous and skydived over the Colorado Rockies, learned how to scuba dive and swam with the sharks. She loved hockey and was the Washington Capitals biggest fan. She loved travelling to California and Maryland to visit family and friends. She enjoyed arts and crafts and shopping. Hannah was a devoted mother and the absolute greatest love she had was for her son. She had a huge heart and a larger personality. She was witty and funny (with a touch of sarcasm) and always had people laughing wherever she was. Her smile lit up the room.
Hannah is survived by her son, Antonio Cani of Lake Wales; her mother, Marcy Rice (James Wahl) of Lake Wales; sisters Lola Rice and Parker Wahl (Lake Wales), Kiley Buster, Malisa Davis, and Jessica Davis (Virginia), and Megan Rice (Brandywine); brothers Nicholas Rice, Aaron Rice and Paxton Wahl (Lake Wales), Josh Buster (Kailie) of Vallejo, California, Cody Buster (Tyler) of Elko, Nevada, and Eddie Rice (Annapolis, Maryland); her aunt, Mary Keeley of Lecanto (Sam) and uncle Robert Bailey (Maryland) and a multitude of family and friends near and far.
Family and friends are invited to Marion Nelson Funeral Home, 454 South Buck Moore Road, Lake Wales, FL from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2020 to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.
