Mildred “Millie” Rose Tierney (nee Pribil) passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on September 4th, 2020.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents (William and Rose Pribil), her husband Charlie, and her sisters Rosemary and Dorothy. She is survived, and dearly missed, by her children: Vicki (John) Dunlap, Chris Tierney, Beth (Jim) Bulleigh, and Jane (Heather Craig) Tierney, as well as her grandchildren: David (Jen) Dunlap, Ben (Mary) Dunlap, Nathan (Kellie) Dunlap, Anna (Dom) O’Reilly, Erin (Josh) Bulleigh-Carr, Sean Bulleigh, Sam Tierney, and Joe Tierney; 21 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Millie was born November 1st, 1922 in St. Paul Minnesota. When she turned 21 she joined the United States Navy and was stationed at Great Lakes Naval base where she met and fell in love with a handsome sailor. They lived briefly in Washington DC before coming back to Minnesota to start their family. Millie spent 30 years as a private secretary in St. Paul. She loved her family; especially her grandchildren, math games (think bridge and cribbage), musical theatre, coffee, good chocolate, and all things fall.

Our family would like to thank Emerald Crest Burnsville Memory Care for their loving care of Millie since 2013. We would like to thank Open Circle Adult Day Program (in both Hopkins and Apple Valley) for helping us keep our mother/grandmother home for several more years.

Memorials preferred to Emerald Crest Burnsville, Open Circle Adult Day or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
