April 03, 1942 - August 30, 2020
Beverly, “Bevie”, Ann Peterson, completed her journey here on earth and joyfully joined her Lord, Jesus Christ, peacefully surrounded by her family at Our Lady of Peace Hospice home in St. Paul, on August 30, 2020.
Bevie was born on April 3, 1942 to Phillip and Emma Reiter at their home in Currie, MN. She graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School in Currie in 1960. After graduating college, Bev worked as a bookkeeper in several different companies, and met the love of her life, Ronald, in Minneapolis, and they married on May 2, 1970.
The family moved to Phoenix and Bevie became an entrepreneur, starting a house cleaning business. Ron passed away in 1988 and Bevie worked as an administrative assistant in golf clubs around the valley, raising her two boys on her own. Bevie fulfilled her and Ron’s dream when she bought the Century Pub in Phoenix, AZ. She operated the bar for 7 years before returning to Minnesota, spending 6 months in Minnesota, with Michael, and 6 months in Texas, with Dean, each year. For the last 15 years that Bevie worked, she worked for Sam’s Club.
Bevie and her sons, Dean and Michael, were blessed in the final month of her life to find Bevie’s son, Jere, who she had given up for adoption in 1967. Bev truly had lived a complete life when she had her 3 boys together for the first time on July 30, 2020. She had a smile from ear to ear.
Bevie will forever be remembered for her spunky spirit, her infectious smile and ”snorting” laugh, her love and pride for her grandchildren and her love for bingo and adventures with her best friend and sister Bernie.
Bevie is preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Ronald Dean Peterson, her parents Phillip & Emma (DeBlieck) Reiter, brothers, Robert and Roger (Vonnie) Reiter. She is survived by her loving sons, Jere (Allison Norton) Nicolay, Dean (Nikki Walden) Peterson and Michael Peterson; grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie, William, Rhea, Madelyn, and Lucas; sisters, Brenda (Paul) Haugen, and Bernice (Craig) Johnson; sister-in-law, Colleen Reiter, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Friday September 4, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 West 125th St., Savage, MN with a gathering of family and friends starting at 10 AM. Interment will follow the mass at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens, 400 Highway 13, Burnsville, MN.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be donated to Our Lady of Peace Hospice, who took tremendous care of Bevie in her final days.
