Alice L Holford, 77, of Farmington passed away on August 22, 2020.  Alice is survived by her husband Raymond; her children Nancy (Patrick) O’Brien, Randy Holford, Craig Holford, Kristine (Chad) Krueger, and Deanna (Charles) Wallick; her grandchildren Kyle (Bella), Shane, Bailey, Anna (Levi), Charlie, Lauren and Michael; great grandchildren Kohen and Katterina; twin sister Helen (James) Gillan; sister-in-law Sylvia Lynn; and numerous other loving family and friends.  Alice was preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard Schoen and Louis Lynn. 

Alice was a kind, loving and giving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was immensely proud of her family and lived for gatherings with them. She made every attempt possible to attend the various life events of her children and grandchildren ranging from hockey games and dance recitals to graduations and bluegrass concerts. Alice’s love language was GIVING...whether it was her time, energy or resources; she will forever be remembered for her incredible and creative GENEROSITY. She loved life and living it to the fullest. Alice was always in for a good time; whether talking to family (regardless of the miles between them), being near the ocean, going out to eat or playing one of her favorite card games.  When playing games, Alice often said, “It’s not over until it’s over” which she frequently proved to be true☺

In the last couple years while limited physically, Alice intentionally chose to fix her mind on the good in life and began sharing her thankful thoughts through Facebook posts, being an example of the Bible verse from the book of Philippians 4:8 which says, “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable ~ if anything is excellent or praiseworthy ~ think about such things.”

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3 at White Funeral Home (20134 Kenwood Trail) in Lakeville, MN (952-469-2723).  A memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
