Tracy Lynn Taylor, age 53 of Waller passed away on July 25, 2018. She is preceded in death by her mother, Diane Taylor and sister Vicki Mays; and is survived by her father, Charley Taylor, Jr.; sisters, Cindy Moss, Lorri Thompson and husband Wade; niece, Krist Moss; nephews, Shane Mays, Austin Thompson, Will Thompson, Jake Thompson; great nephews, Johnny Browning, Spencer Moss,  brother in law, Larry Mays, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Tracy attended school at Furr High School where she was a Brahman Guard and studied cosmetology. She passed her board certification and received her license in 1983. Tracy never had the chance to work at her chosen profession but was instrumental in running her mother’s daycare business in both Houston and Waller for many years. She loved children and they loved her!

Despite her disability, she was the ultimate care giver. Always taking care of her family and the home. Later in life, she would continue that role as she would help take care of her various roommates. Tracy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed supporting her nephews at their sporting and academic events, her daily talks with her sister Cindy and niece, Kristi, and Sunday calls with her dad. Her outgoing personality and contagious smile made her hard to resist. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone, literally anyone. If you had the pleasure of meeting her, she would bring you into her circle of friends instantly.

Tracy was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2013. She fought this disease bravely with steadfast determination, a positive attitude, unimaginable strength and grace. She passed peacefully with her sisters and father by her side. She no longer has to endure the pain that each day brought, but the hearts of everyone who knew her aches from the loss. Comfort can be taken knowing that she is no longer confined to a wheelchair and is dancing to Conway Twitty songs with her sister and mom.
