Mrs. Alma Callindnear Mack was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Carrington Nursing Home. Born December 6, 1901, she was favored by God to reach the age of 110 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Benjamin and Mrs. Lucy Callindnear, her devoted husband, Bishop Willie M. Mack and her five siblings.
Attributing her long and healthy life to prayer and serving God, her maker, she never hesitated to show her spiritual relationship to God. Her days at the Carrington were spent listening to Gospel music on the radio and especially to Reverend Fletcher Hubbard's WLLL Radio Station.
She is survived by her loving great-nephew, Leslie M. Camm (Vivian); a niece, Loretta C. Scott (Willie) and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Community Funeral Home with Rev. James E. Johnson, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Burial Park. The family is receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
