He was the widower of Theresa M. (Ford) Boyle. Born in NYC, he was the son of the late John F. and Margaret (O’Connor) Boyle of Ireland.
He went to school at Good Shepherd School and then Rice High School. He served in the United States Army with the 1st Infantry Division. After discharge, he worked his way up from the mailroom to Computer Programmer during his almost 35 year career with the American Cyanamid Company. John was a devoted NY Giants season ticket holder along with many of his good friends from Inwood. John was always in attendance for Sean’s football games for PLYO, DePaul Catholic HS and the University of Pennsylvania. The last 15 years of his life he was a devoted grandfather attending his granddaughters’ athletic and school events while also making sure the girls got off the bus safely each day from his front door guard post with Panda. He will be sorely missed by his family in the United States and Ireland and his friends from Inwood, Pompton Lakes and Pennsylvania.
