William "Bill" Logan

William M. “Bill” Logan, 73, passed away following a brief illness on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at his home.
Bill was born in Oak Harbor, Washington and was son to the late Robert Thomas Logan and Velma Horton Logan. He lived in Memphis Tennessee and served in the United States Marine Corps before moving to Jacksonville in 1971.
Bill was a member of North Jacksonville Church of God where he served as deacon and on the board. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5-30 and retired from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office in 2004 after 30+ years of service. He loved working in the yard, taking his dogs, Max, Bella, Chloe and Daisy on walks and his favorite thing to do was make his wife of 13 years, Ann, happy!
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ann Logan; 4 children: William Logan (Tanja), Samantha Logan, Gina Logan (Mitch) and Johnathan Logan; step-son: Jason Neu (Alexis); sister: Peggy Slough (Ricky); 2 brothers: Bob Logan (Adrian) and Don Logan (Judy); father & mother-in-law: Ron & Juanell LaRue; 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street, Building C, with Pastor Jim Hull officiating. Burial will follow with Military and Police Honors in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
