As of March 21, 2020, the City of Columbus Mayor's Office and the City Council has issued an ordinance limiting any visitation or service we conduct to 10 people or less.
We have been in contact with the National Funeral Directors Association and the Center for Disease Control and have received guidance on how to conduct visitation and funeral services as well as handling and care of infected deceased individuals amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, we will be following the ordinances and recommendations given to us to best protect our families and community from the outbreak as best as we can. We will be limiting visitation and services to family only with a maximum of 10 people and providing web streaming services for all services conducted in our chapel at no additional cost.
All families will have the option to “opt-in” to web streaming services and a link will be published to the online obituary on our website at www.lowndesfuneralhome.net with the family’s permission.
This policy will remain in effect until further recommendations are given by the CDC and other regulating agencies.
During this time we ask that you stay safe and remain in prayer for our nation and our world during this pandemic.
