Our Beginnings

Providence Funeral Home was conceived from a vision of local and surrounding area residents who desired the old fashioned, personal service given to families during their time of need.

Opening our Doors

Construction, in northwest Taylor, began April of 1999.  The 14,000 square foot facility offers a chapel that seats 250 with a family seating area, a state-of-the-art music system throughout the funeral home, three state rooms, adequate parking for 100 vehicles, and a casket selection offering a choice of 20 different styles and colors.   Open House was held November 21, 1999.  Providence Funeral Home investors welcomed and conducted tours of the new facility for more than 500 area residents.

Community-Oriented

Community involvement is only one goal Providence Funeral Home strives to achieve.  Our staff greets families and friends at the door with compassion and concern and often offers the time to just listen.  Being part of the community, we serve our families and friends in times of sorrow and grief, and dedicate ourselves to each individual service, making each one unique and personalized.

Assisting you

Personal service and attention to the details along with competitive prices are what families receive at Providence Funeral Home.  All phases of funeral arrangements are available, including traditional and direct cremation, memorial services, pre-arranged funeral plans, and granite memorials. These options are described in "Our Services" link.

If you desire to plan ahead, Providence offers you opportunities to make your arrangements either online, in the comfort of your own home, or in person with our knowledgeable staff.  In "Pre-Planning", you can create a unique username with password protection and begin customizing a plan that fits your needs or those of a loved one. You can modify your plan online at your convenience. You can also meet our funeral directors in person, who can walk you through the process and assist you in making your arrangements.

The benefits of planning ahead allows services and merchandise to be selected, relieving loved ones the burden and stress of making funeral arrangements at the time of death.  Planning ahead also assures a family that most funeral costs will be 'frozen', never to be affected by future price increases.  We welcome any inquiries one may have about funeral planning.
