Our story

Our story

At the impressionable age of 13, Keith Biglow began his quest for a career in funeral service in his hometown of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

After completing high school, Keith attended Central State University, Edmond, Oklahoma on a band scholarship, playing the Tuba while beginning his funeral service education studies. It was at this time he began to work and train at a funeral home in Oklahoma City, between band activities and classes.

After his education and training was complete, he successfully passed his Oklahoma State Board Exams and was licensed by the State of Oklahoma as a Professional Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Keith Biglow worked as a child at the House of Winn Funeral Home in Okmulgee, trained at the McKay-Davis Mortuary, Inc., of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jack's Memory Chapel, Inc., of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It was while working at Jack's Memory Chapel when the opportunity to open his own funeral home came and in October 1993, this dream was realized with establishment of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., at 549 S. 6th Street in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

In 1998, a second location was established in his hometown, Okmulgee, Oklahoma and in September of 2005, a third location opened in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In June of 2014, our fourth location in Oklahoma, the former Hyde Park Mortuary building in Boley, Oklahoma was opened as the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. - Boley Chapel.
