COVID-19 Funeral Home Service Update
Dear Families of South Lake County and the surrounding areas,
Becker Funeral Home has served this community for over 35 years and we will continue to do so during this period of uncertainty. We will remain open and our experienced, caring staff will continue assisting families throughout this critical time. Our hearts go out to those affected, whether directly or indirectly, by COVID-19, and we extend our appreciation to the health care community for all they are doing to protect us.
Updates as of Monday, July 6, 2020.
We are closely monitoring the situation and plan to follow the directives of the Governor’s Office, the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about COVID-19. After reviewing the most recent recommendations and guidelines from the CDC, we have established the following service restrictions:
All Becker Funeral Home funeral, memorial, and celebration services and gatherings will be limited to thirty (30) attendees. Please know this may change at any time based on further CDC recommendations or Government decisions. We encourage supporting families via our online condolences options, which are accessible through individual obituary pages on our website, www.beckerfamilyfuneral.com.
Visiting Becker Funeral Home
While the COVID-19 virus requires all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities, rest assured that our funeral home is clean and safe. We have always maintained health and safety measures designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses. This now includes COVID-19. Our protocols cover everything from handwashing hygiene, cleaning product specifications, to equipment and common area cleaning procedures.
Making Funeral Arrangements
If a death has occurred, or will soon occur, we are very sorry for your loss. If you are unable to make it to our location due to travel restrictions, health concerns or any other reason, our caring staff can help you accomplish making the necessary arrangements by telephone and email. Every situation can and will be accommodated to ensure the arrangements for the care of your loved one and to ensure your wishes are followed. If you do choose to make arrangements in person at our facility, we require you limit the number of people attending to three (3), and encourage you to wear masks.
Losing a friend or family member is never easy. We are very aware that these unsettling times can amplify feelings of grief and anxiety. The safety and well-being of you, your family, and your friends is of the utmost importance to us.
