A tradition of comfort and caring

Support before, during and after your loss

We at Lake Funeral Home pride ourselves on the service we provide to all that call upon us in times of need. Service is available to those of all faiths; they are equally treated with respect. Some of the opportunities offered to families are total help with Pre-need funeral planning along with assistance in marker purchases, complete help on veterans paperwork and insurance claim forms as well as aftercare help. In your time of need remember Lake Funeral Homes, a name of trust and confidence, and you can be assured of having your needs met in the most difficult of times.

*Coronavirus Policy:

We would like to take a minute to address the current situation with regard to the Coronavirus and how it will affect Funerals and Visitations for families encountering a loss. We receive communication and updates from our Michigan Funeral Directors Association which keeps us updated on current status for large gatherings for services, along with specifications for health with regard to deceased persons’ who may potentially have the virus. We will continue to perform funeral services for our families and stay within the parameters set by the CDC and State of Michigan to keep everyone healthy. The current number for  gatherings is 10 persons or   less. A  few ways to accommodate would be to add an extra visitation day at no cost to the family to spread out the number of visitors over 3 days versus 1 or 2 days. Private funeral services for family only would also be an option, in order to allow family members of the deceased time to grieve. Our facility is large enough to accommodate crowds and also separate in appropriate numbers and distance in order to stay within guidelines. We most certainly can postpone services until a later date if that is the wishes of the family as well. Additionally, if the deceased is suspected of having the Coronavirus, we have been advised by our embalming supply company representative on how to properly treat the deceased during the embalming process so not to harm anyone in attendance of services. Cremation is not being mandated for those passing away from the virus. We certainly are available for any questions or concerns that any of our community members may have. We will continue to work towards safe options, and also still maintain the up most care to families through these trying times.

God Bless
