Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015, 12:00 Noon, at the True Faith Baptist Church, 1005 Eutaw Road, Eutawville, South Carolina. The Reverend C. L. Coleman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethel/Target Cemetery, Holly Hill, South Carolina. Viewing will be Friday from noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Time to Be Born
Mother Mary Mack was born on November 1, 1931 in Orangeburg County to the late Preston Butler, Sr. and Mary Butler Rumph.

A Time to Live
She grew up in Branchville, SC and attended the public schools there. Mother Mack accepted Christ at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church in Branchville, SC. After marriage, she joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Holly Hill. In 1997, Mother Mack was one of the founding members of True Faith Baptist Church in Eutawville, SC. She served faithfully until her health failed. Mother Mack served on the Mother’s Board, President of the Pastor’s Aide Board and Senior Choir and the Missionary Board.

A Time to Love
Mother Mack was joined in holy matrimony to the late Jacob Mack, Sr. To this union, they reared three children.

A Time to Laugh
Mother Mack was loved by everyone in the community and was affectionately known to the great-grand children as “Pinktah”. She housed and fed many people throughout the years. Mother Mack taught and showed love to everyone. She enjoyed laughter and lived with a driven purpose to bring smiles to others. There were days when her sun shined brightly and there were days she traveled through the storms. In spite of going through, she still gave encouraging words to all she came in contact with.

A Time to Transition
Mother Mary “Margie” Mack went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, May 3, 2015. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her infectious and caring spirit. She was preceded in death by one son, Mr. Charles E. Mack and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Clary Green.

A Time to Mourn
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: daughter, Mrs. Maytha (Charles) Green, of the home; son, Mr. Jacob Mack, of St. George, SC; son-in-law, Mr. Joe Louis Green, Sr. of Holly Hill, SC; one sister, Rena Dargen, Maryland; one aunt, Retha Nash-Simmons of Cross, SC; grandchildren: Clarissa Green Clark of Lexington, SC; Charles (Connie) Green and Chenita Green of Columbia, SC; Shaunte (Ramsey) Cooper of League City, TX; Thenessa (Dexter) Palmer of Saginaw, TX; LeShaun Brown of St. George, SC; Jewell Mack of Traveler’s Rest, SC; Anthony Mack of Manning, SC; Catherine (Joe) Hatcher of Atlanta, GA; Richard (Margaret) Green of Albany, GA; Rev. Joe Louis Green (Bridget) Green, Jr., of Vance, SC; Kenneth Green, Mary Ann Green and Tyrone Green of Holly Hill, SC. She also leaves 29 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the residence, 562 Selena Circle, Holly Hill, South Carolina and at the funeral home.
