Jane (Dunn) Wamester, 73, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 31, 2014. Born in Wethersfield, she was the daugher of the late David and Grace (O’Connor) Dunn. Jane and her beloved husband Richard (Dick), who predeceased her in 2008 lived in glastonbury for over 48 years where they raised their two sons. Jane will always be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother to her 4 grandchildren. Jane leaves behind her two sons and their families; David and Sherry Wamester and their daughters Grace and Natalie of Milton, MA and Jay Wamester and Colleen brennan and their sons Charles and Harrison of Hebron. She was preceased by her dear daughter Sarah. She also leaves behind her sister Claire Carpenter of Columbus, Ohio and three sisters-in-law; Joyce Wamester, Lynn Wamester, Noranne and brother-in-law William Wamester all of Wethersfield as well as many neices and nephews. Jane was a talented artist and avid reader who loved spending time with family at her weekend home in Lyme and following the UCONN Women’s basketball team. For many years she worked alongside Dick at Arrow Prescription Center in Glastonbury until their retirement in 2005. Jane and her family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to her friends and neighbors for their loving and constant support over the last several years. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 6 at 11AM at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield followed by burial in Village Cemetery in Olde Wethersfield. In keeping with Jane’s request, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family requests that friends perform and act of kindness in Jane’s memory.
