Visitation for Albert Gregory “Bucky” Hatfield, 74, of Lufkin, Texas, will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment will be held at a later date in the Crossville City Cemetery in Crossville, Tennessee.

 

Mr. Hatfield was born April 26, 1943 in Seth, West Virginia to parents, Forest Hatfield and Lucille Swafford Hatfield, and passed away May 29, 2017 in Lufkin, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He is in the Brotherhood of Working Farriers Association Hall of Fame. He was an educator in equine science and owned the Tennessee State Blacksmith & Farriers School in Bloomington Springs, Tennessee. He also owned the Texas State Farriers School in Goodrich, Texas. He is preceded in death by parents, and brother, Larry Hatfield.

 

He is survived by his wife, Carla A. Hatfield of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Delores Jeffrey of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Travis Norris of Goodrich, Texas; son, Jason Stone of Hutto, Texas; grandchildren, Felicia Brickman, Gregory Brickman, Shawna Ethridge, Joshua Ethridge, Destiny Jeffrey, Bryce Norris, Owen Norris, and Kade Lopez; sisters, Brenda Bergwitz of Evansville, Indiana and Linda Strevel of Crossville, Tennessee; brothers, David Hatfield of Ripley, West Virginia, Ricky Hatfield of Ripley, West Virginia, Forest Hatfield of The Woodland, Texas, Kevin Hatfield of Ripley, West Virginia, and Allen Hatfield of Ripley, West Virginia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
