Pamela L. Adams - Age 71, passed away May 9th, 2019, a lifelong resident of Dearborn, Michigan. Beloved mother of Carrie (Michael) James and Kimberly (Michael) Kerstetter. Dear grandmother of Jordan, Andrew, Lauren, Austin, Sebastian, Mikaela, and Amber. Cherished sister of Mark (Candy) Adams, Marsha (Mark) Stromberg, Larry Adams, Claudia (Bryan) Werth, and the late Bryan Adams. Treasured daughter of Ervin and the late Toni.
Pamela led a life that was dedicated to her family and her community in Dearborn. She graduated from Edsel Ford High School and attended Henry Ford Community College. She went on to work at Ford Motor Company for a short time before focusing on her real passions: her family and education. She held positions with the Dearborn School Board and the board for Henry Ford College for 18 years, and the Parent Teacher Association for decades. She involved herself with events throughout the city to bolster the community. Pamela gave readily of herself to anyone in need. She was compassionate and valued the needs of her family, friends, and community.
Her social life was very important to her. She spent time with her friends whenever she could. She loved being in the "Birthday Group" with her closest pals so they could take to the town and celebrate whenever someone had a birthday. Above all, she loved being a grandmother. An ideal day for her would be hosting a family dinner at her house with delicious, home-cooked meals and finishing the evening playing cards, board games, and making crafts with her grandchildren. Pamela struggled for 10 years with health issues, but through it all she stayed strong and determined to continue to be present in her beloved community and with her cherished family. She was truly a bright and shining star who was able to touch so many lives in a positive way. Pamela will be missed dearly by all.
A memorial service in Pamela's honor will be held Thursday, May 30th at Park Place, 23400 Park St., Dearborn, MI 48124. Gathering will be from 4-8PM with a special celebratory program starting at 5PM. If attending, you are encouraged to RSVP by following the link posted in this obituary.
