Virginia was born March 21, 1924 in Huntington Beach California to William Blair and Ovie Burgess Grogan and spent most of her adult life in Santa Ana and Irvine, California.
She was an active leader in all of her children's activities growing up, as well as being a member of River View Women's Club, Ladies Ebell Club and the Katuktu Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution. She and her family worshiped at Santa Ana First Methodist Church, and later Tustin Presbyterian Church. She and husband Novel were members of Mesa Verde Country Club for many years.
In recent years she lived at Regents Point retirement community in Irvine. Until recently, she enjoyed playing golf and bridge, doing needlework, and following the Angels baseball team as a season ticket holder for over 40 years. But her legacy will always be her family. S?he especially enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. On her 90th birthday this year, she brought all 22 members of her family together for a grand celebration.
Virginia was the sister-in-law of the late, Esta Fuqua, Monta Gressett and Ruby Jolly, all of Grimes County.
She was the wonderful loving Mother to Kenneth B. James and wife Debbie, of San Clemente, CA and daughter, Jeane Clymer and husband John, of Irvine, CA, adored Grandmother to Jennifer, Kelly, Molly, Matt and Andy, and Great-Grandmother to Hannah, McKenna, Grant, Bailey, Colby, Reagan, Lincoln, Sophia and Adele; she has begun her will deserved eternal life joining her devoted husband, Novel.
We will all miss her greatly, but look forward to seeing her again.
