Kevin Scott Elvin, 50, of Bolton Landing, New York, formerly of Pequannock Township, died peacefully on July 14th in Glens Falls, New York, surrounded by his loving family.
Kevin was born and raised in Pequannock and graduated from Pequannock Township High School in 1985. He was active in the New Jersey Special Olympics and was a gold medalist in swimming. Kevin was an avid bowler. He was most proud of his participation in the Pequannock Township High School football program as a manager/trainer. He was also the number 1 fan of his nieces' and nephew's sports teams.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Susan and Keith Elvin of Bolton Landing; his sisters, Kristin Carr and her husband, Timothy and Stacy Spring and her husband, Brian; his nieces, Megan Carr and her fiancé, Justin Cannella, Bridget Carr, Emma Carr, and Melissa Spring and nephew, Joshua Carr. He is also survived by many friends who were touched by his gentle demeanor and kind heart.
Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, July 19th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, 781 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains, followed by a service to conclude the visitation. Cremation and a service will follow at a future date in Bolton Landing.
