Mrs. Rena Ethel (Tatro) DeMarsico, 74 of 17 Tyler St. North Adams, MA died Sunday June 8, 2014 at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in Searsburg, VT on August 25, 1939 daughter of Walter and Viola (Reed) Tatro. She attended Searsburg schools.
Rena was last employed by Commonwealth Sprague Capacitors. Before that she worked for Sprague Electric Co. for 27 years until it closed and at Wall-Streeter Shoe Co.
She attended the First Baptist Church in North Adams. Rena enjoyed embroidery, puzzles and a cold can of Pepsi. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
She was the widow of Robert J. DeMarsico who died on March 24, 2004. They were married on September 27, 1958.
Survivors include three sons including Anthony DeMarsico and his wife, Esther; and Michael DeMarsico and his wife, Lisa, all of North Adams; and Glen DeMarsico and his wife, Cheryl of Adams.
Eleven Grandchildren- Heather Elliot, Anthony DeMarsico, Amanda Houghtlin,
Aubrey Harmon, Kailey DeMarsico, Adam DeMarsico, Leigha DeMarsico, Tristan
Ryczek, Kendall DeMarsico, Dillon DeMarsico, and Amber Siciliano
One Great Grandchild- Ryden DeMarsico
She also leaves two sisters including Edna Cooper of Fort Myers, FL and Rosella Cote of Williamstown, MA; one brother, Donald Tatro of Clarksburg, MA; nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Diane Cyr of North Adams.
Her grandson, Specialist Michael DeMarsico II was killed in the war in Afghanistan on August 16, 2012 and three brothers are deceased including Walter, Peter and Gerald.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Rena DeMarsico will be Saturday June 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. A calling hour will be held Saturday morning from 10-11 AM. Donations may be made in her memory to the funeral home. To send a card or message, please visit
