Lois Rosenkrans

Died: May 18, 2014

Lois Schuler Rosenkrans, 78, of Scranton, died Sunday after noon at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA in Wilkes Barre. She was the widow of the late Norvison Rosenkrans who died in 1998.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Esther Walsh Schuler Rosenkrans. She attended high school in Scranton, and was employed as a part time nurses aid while caring for her family.
Lois artist and loved t o paint pumpkins and Crocheting. She had written a poem about her husband which won a contest from Dominos Sugar.

Surviving are four daughters Linda Fiore and her husband Bill, Clarks Green; Sandy Kingdom, Falls; Michelle Kiernan and her husband Gary; Susquehanna Co.; and Wendy Foley and her husband John, Scranton; eight grandchildren, Michael Baldwin, Tunkhannock; Eric Kingdom, Falls; Victor Fiore and his wife Dr. Solidad Ayers, Portland Or; Garrison and Megan Kiernan, Clarks Green; John Joseph, Michael, and Travis Foley, all of Scranton; two great grandchildren Aaliyah Kingdom and Spencer Fiore, a brother Herbert Schuler, Scranton; three sisters Pat Smith, Scranton; Carol Bidding, Scranton, and Joyce Smith and her husband Jerry, Scranton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Rosenkrans and a granddaughter Amanda.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 pm from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and cremation Service Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa. 18411, with services by Rev. Brent Stouffer, Pastor of the Clarks Green United Methodist Church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects on Saturday from 1 pm until 3 pm at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, prior to the Memorial Service.
