Dover, NJ: Doris Douglas passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Regency Grande Nursing Center, Dover. She was 92 years of age.
She was born on October 24, 1921 at the Richards Colliery, Mt. Carmel, PA to the late Daniel F. Koch & Rhoda M. (Singley). Doris lived in Kulpmont, PA and Mt. Carmel, PA before coming to Ridgewood, NJ in 1951 to work as a Governess. She was a 28 year resident of Pompton Lakes, NJ moving to Kunkletown, PA in 1993 before returning to NJ in 2005.
Mrs. Douglas retired in 1983 from Aircraft Radio Corporation of Boonton, NJ.
Former member of Pompton Valley Presbyterian Church in Pequannock, NJ and a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Dover, NJ.
Doris was a charter member of Belles & Beaux Square Dance Club of Glen Rock, NJ and enjoyed going to Alabama Concerts.
Pre-deceased by her husband Keith R. Douglas in 1997, daughter Sandra L. in 1964 and two brothers; Kermit and Daniel.
Son: Kenneth D. Koch and wife Maxine of Danville, PA.
Daughter: Gail J.D. Little and husband Jim of Dover, NJ.
Visitation will be held 3-5pm on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ.
A funeral service will be held 7pm on Thursday, May 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 123 E. Blackwell St., Dover, NJ 07801.
Interment will be 11am on Friday at Gilbert Cemetery, Gilbert, PA.
