Passed away April 10, 2014. She was born Nov. 10, 1922, the fifth of six children to Edgar and Belva Darrin in Aberdeen, WA. She is now with her many friends, her two older brothers and two older sisters as well as her oldest daughter Belva Cooney who Mary proudly had on her 20th birthday.
Mary lived a wonderful life with her loving husband of 60 years John G. Burya. In the 50’s John subdivided Beaver Park at Waitts Lake where Mary named the roads. They then started buying commercial property and Mary opened Darrin’s Wigs which she operated until she was 88 years old. Mary loved all living things especially cats, plants and people.
She is survived by her husband John G. Burya; daughter Gordia Berglund and son-in-law Richard Johnson; sister Peggy Lowery; brother-in-law Gene (Pat) Burya; grandsons Kerry (Patricia) Bunnell, Barry (Louann) Charon; Ed “Ted” (Rachel) Charon, Phillip (Victoria) Morley; granddaughters Christina and Julianne Morley; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
