Mary K. Mack- 100, of Souderton, PA entered into rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.
She was born in Yerkes, PA to the late Elmer & Sallie (Kratz) Mack.
Mary enjoyed a happy childhood on the family farm in Collegeville. She served as a short-term mission worker in Tampa, Florida. Mary worked as a nurse’s aide with her parents to establish the Hatfield Mennonite Convalescent Home, currently now known as Dock Meadows. She was employed as an LPN at Grand View Hospital and in the office of Dr. Paul Nace in Souderton.
She was a active member of Providence Mennonite Church where she formerly taught Sunday school. In 2006, Mary became an associate member of the Souderton Mennonite Homes Fellowship. She was cheerful, had a great sense of humor and was accepting of life's challenges during her 100 years of life.
Mary had a way of making people feel special. Her embroidery and artistic touches adorn all of her family's homes. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed plants, gardening, playing the organ and loved children.
She is survived by three nieces, Mary Lois Hoskins of Denver, CO, Lucille Stoltzfus & husband, Andrew of Morgantown, PA and Elsie Mast & husband, Wesley of Lancaster, PA.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Noah K. Mack and a sister-in-law, Muriel (Taylor) Mack.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10:30 am at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 where friends may view and meet with the family from 9:30 am – 10:30 am.
Burial will take place at Providence Mennonite Cemetery.
