Helen Ludlow, 93, Oaktown, passed away Friday February 14, 2014 at the Oak Village Nursing Home. Helen was born February 6, 1921, in Laconia, IN, the daughter of Artie and Jennie (Stevens) Ludlow. She lived on a dairy farm, raised dairy cows, and loved to garden. Helen was a graduate of Oaktown High School, then went on to work as a secretary in the North Knox School Corporation. Helen was a member of the Emison United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir, Indiana Farm Bureau Inc., and the Oaktown United Methodist Women.
Helen is survived by her sister, Kathleen Dunkerly of Oaktown and several cousins from Gibson and Harrison counties.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Artie and Jennie, and a brother-in-law, Cecil Dunkerly.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM at the Oaktown United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest in the Oaktown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emison United Methodist Church.
