Justus B. Taylor, age 28, a resident of Winfield, IL, died Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born August 24, 1985 in St. Charles, IL.
Justus loved the outdoors and used to go to Wisconsin to go fishing. He enjoyed spending time on his motorcycle. He was a drummer and also loved to cook. He was passionate about it and often found ways to create feasts for family and friends. He had many friends and could light up a room when he walked in. He had a big heart and would help people when he could. He volunteered at the Bread of Life Food Pantry in Wheaton, for many years. He was a skilled carpenter and would often help building sets and props for a number of church plays in the area. He was very artistic and was known to paint watercolor, drawing sketches and to carve wood.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Watson of Winfield; his father, Dana Taylor of South Elgin, IL; three brothers, John Deane Taylor, Tyrone James Taylor, and Levi Watson; two sisters, Alisha Marguerite Taylor and Hannah Watson; two grandmothers, Margaret Shelkey, and Ellen Taylor; his grandfather, John Quinlan Jr; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Kenneth Carol "PawPaw" Taylor.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 27W010 Parkway Dr, in Winfield, IL. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to the family.
