Jean Hadley Robinson Andrewson

Born: April 24, 1922
Died: December 16, 2013

Jean Hadley Robinson Andrewson, 91 years old, passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2013. She was born on April 24, 1922 in Wheaton, IL.

Jean was a lifelong Wheaton resident and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1940. She worked full time most of her adult life as a bookkeeper. Jean owned and operated her own business, JEM Office Services, and sponsored a women's softball team with the Wheaton Park District. She retired after 10 years as a clerk with the DuPage County Recorders office. Jean was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She was a supporter of the Wheaton History Center.  She loved the City of Wheaton and kept up on local news until the end. She loved animals and gardening. Jean was often described as strong willed, opinionated, independent and feisty.

Jean is survived by her three children, Robbi Robinson of Downers Grove, Dana Andrewson of Winfield and Gay Isadore of Glen Ellyn; her three grandchildren, Brett Isadore of Chicago, Nicole Isadore (Michael Marier) of Glen Ellyn and Nathan Isadore of Warrenville; a sister, Arlene H. Fisher of Wheaton; a sister-in-law, Dixie Hadley of Neceda, WI; and the great joy of her life, great granddaughter, Simone Marier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, James McKee Hadley and Louisa Birsen Hadley; her brothers, Donald J. Hadley and Leroy F. Hadley; her nephew, Wayne Hadley; her son-in-law, Alfred Isadore; and her husbands, Edward E. Robinson and R.C. "Andy" Andrewson.

Memorial donations may be made to the VFW of Wheaton in the name of Jean Hadley Andrewson.

Services will be private.
