Leone B. Boyce, age 93 years, of Clintonville passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the New London Family Medical Center.
The former Leone Barbara Plumb was born on February 10, 1920 in Bear Creek to Harry and Irma (Buelow) Plumb. Leone graduated from Clintonville High School and in 1940 she was united in marriage to Charles “Sam” Hamilton in Clintonville. Mr. Hamilton died in 1957 and she was married in 1961 to Vilas C. Boyce in Clintonville. Mr. Boyce preceded her in death in 1977. She worked hard to support her family cleaning at the telephone company, baby-sitting, and at Jirschele’s Bakery. Leone started as a clerk in the mid 1960’s at JC Pennys and was employed until the late 1980’s, retiring after 27 years.
In her early years, she was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and was active with the Ladies Aid, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. The EUB Church became the United Methodist Church, Clintonville, and she continued to be involved as much as possible. Leone was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing for countless people around the area. She also liked taking care of her vegetable gardens, canning, and was always doing something to stay busy. Leone will be remembered most as a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother.

There are three grandchildren, Kevin Anderson of Menasha, Kurt (Stacy) Anderson of Kaukauna, and Brenda (Jeff) Newton of Greendale.
