John Paul Kronmuller

Born: July 20, 1938
Died: September 30, 2013

U.S. VeteranJohn Paul Kronmuller, 75, of Clarks Summit, died Monday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. He was the husband of Jacqueline Nattle Kronmuller. The couple had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past March.

Born in Phoenixville, Pa., he was the son of the late William Eugene and Louise Simon Kronmuller, the eighth child of nine siblings.

He was educated at Phoenixville High School and was a professional Plasterer, having worked on many landmark buildings and church steeples throughout the Philadelphia area and often worked with his older brother, Bill, who owned a large masonry business. In his youth, he especially enjoyed hunting with his brothers, Ace and Charlie. He proudly served his country in the Army and the Army Reserves. He also served as a volunteer fireman and paramedic for over 30 years and Chief for eight years at the West End Fire Co. in Phoenixville, and was instrumental in the creation of the Junior Fireman program there. His wife and kids were awoken many nights by him running down the stairs to selflessly answer an ambulance call with his brother, Bob. After moving to Falls, Pa., he worked with sons doing roofing and stone masonry. Although partially disabled by a severe back injury in 1982 and the removal of a lung due to cancer nine years later, he still managed to provide for his family while breeding and raising horses for over ten years.

John was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who was strong in his faith, kindness and love and it showed daily. He never hesitated to go out of his way to help anyone, even a total stranger. He will be dearly missed.

Also surviving are two sons John Joseph and wife Doris Mae, and James Scott and wife Sandria, both of Falls, four grandchildren; Julie Marie Hummel and husband Thomas Lowell III, Mill City; John Paul Joseph, Mason James, and Autumn Rose, all of Falls, a great grandson Thomas Lowell Hummel IV, a brother William, of Elverson, Pa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two daughters Julie Ann and Jill Marie, three brothers Adolph, Charles, and Robert; and four sisters Elizabeth Shaner, Margaret Hines, Freida Mitchell, and Clara Gibble.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at noon from the Clarks Green Assembly of God, 204 S. Abington Rd., Clarks Green, with services by Rev. Glenn White, Pastor. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Joseph Greco and Dr. John Peters both of Scranton, Pa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 S Keyser Ave
Taylor, PA 18517.

Friends may call from 11am until time of service at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home & Cremation Svc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit Pa 18411.
