Morris “Frank” Beaman, 72, Oaktown, passed away Friday August 30, 2013 at his residence. Frank was born January 29, 1941, in Vincennes, the son of Sylvan and Dorothy (Meeks) Beaman. He married Sandra Ice on November 23, 1962, and she survives him. He worked for Ralph Green Construction, then later was an operator for Texaco Refinery, and retired from the maintenance department at North Knox School Corp. He was also the Busseron Township Trustee for 21 years. Frank was a member of the Oaktown Christian Church, Harmony Society, French Club, and the NRA. He was an avid hunter and Cardinal's fan.
Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra; daughter Michelle “Micki” Spears and her husband Jim, of Indianapolis; son Scott Beaman and his wife Cathy, of Bruceville; grandchildren, Lindsay Spears, Kyle Spears, Reeves Beaman, Riley Beaman, Olivia Beaman, Kyndra Hagemeier, Kelsey Hagemeier, Devin Hagemeier, and Dylan Hagemeier; and brother Larry Beaman and his wife Carol, of Oaktown.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Sunday September 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oaktown Christian Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM also at the church with Rev. Faye Bilskie and Rev. Todd Barnhizer officiating and burial following at the Morris Chapel Cemetery.
