Roy R. Langdon, 84, Freelandville, passed away Tuesday August 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Roy was born November 24, 1928 in Knox county, the son of George and Nora (McClure) Langdon. He was a retired truck driver for Oliver Trucking at the Vincennes Packaging Corp. He married Sandra Mooney on October 11, 1968 and she passed on May 6, 2000. He was a member of the Bethel Church and the American Legion. Roy served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Roy is survived by his children, Kim Meeks and her husband Cecil of Oaktown, Glen Thompson of Freelandville, and Lynn Rahm and her husband Ed of Louisiana; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brothers Ralph Langdon of Louisville, KY and Frank Langdon of Freelandville; and sister Sarabel Frayer of South Bend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Sandra; and two brothers Dwight and Carl Langdon.
The family will receive friends on Friday August 30, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bethel Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM also at Bethel Church with Matt Hoffman and Pastor Jay Howder officiating with burial following at Bethel Cemetery.
