Kenneth W Scheetz

Lambertville – Kenneth W. Scheetz, age 69, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Capital Health in Hopewell. Born in Doylestown PA, he lived in Lambertville his entire life.


A graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School, he later received an associate’s degree from Trenton Junior College and studied architectural engineering at Louisiana State University. Ken honorably served in the U.S. Naval Air and was a member of Amwell Lodge #12, Free and Accepted Masons.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family on the beach and boating at the shore. Ken also had a love of music, especially playing the piano, drums and banjo. He was a self-employed carpenter for over 40 years in the Lambertville and Princeton areas. In recent years, Ken enjoyed woodworking and toy making.


Pre-deceased by his parents, William and Elsie (Worthington) Scheetz, Ken is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy (Mohr) Scheetz, his sons, Kenneth F., Craig W. and his wife Lisa, Douglas L. and his wife Kimmarie, and Daniel A. Scheetz. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Logan, Elsie and Adam Scheetz, his brothers, William and his wife Mary Ann Scheetz, Robert and his wife Linda Scheetz, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 22 at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin Street, Lambertville. Interment will follow at Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery in Lambertville. Friends may call at the funeral home on the evening of Wednesday, August 21 from 6 pm to 8 pm and again from 10 am to 11 am on Thursday prior to the funeral service.
